Easter in Boston
I spent the Easter triduum in Boston this year. Holy Thursday and the anticipated Mass Saturday night were spent at St Adalbert's in Hyde Park (pictured above), a Polish parish. Good Friday we went to Sacred Heart in Rosendale. We also attended Mass at St Pius X, Hyde Park and St Theresa's, West Roxbury.
St Adalbert's in known locally as the parish that Karol Wojtyla visited in September 1969. Msgr. Stanislaus Sypek is a childhood friend of the pope. The parish was originally scheduled to close, but is now listed as "closing at the end of the present pastorate".
